country tea party dessert table with ripped fabric backdrop

From colorful rag tie fabric banners and pony rides to a buffet of fresh-baked sweets, this charming Country Tea Birthday Party  just looks like good old fashioned fun! Beautifully styled by Pilar Reichlein of Vintage Mingle for a 6th birthday celebration, I’m loving all the crafty touches and overall sweet, handmade vibe. My favorite detail might just be the clever hay bale tea party table though… what a fun way for the little ones to celebrate outdoors!

PARTY HIGHLIGHTS to look out for:

– Rag tie fabric banner & dessert table backdrop made from thrift-store fabric
– Tea party table made from hay bales + vintage teacups & farmers market flowers
– Topsy turvy tiered naked cakes and colorful sugar cookies by Rosycakes
– Wood-framed chalkboard signage + vintage wooden serving cart for the snacks
– Pony rides by Snowball and Snowflake from Horse Haven Farms
– Candied apple party favors with apple tree branch sticks!

royal princess garden birthday party

Having kids with birthdays close together can be a tricky situation to navigate. Luckily, these adorable sisters don’t mind sharing one BIG, special day & their mom, LeLe Chan of LeLe Chan Designs, knows exactly how to pull everything together! This year, her girls requested a Royal Princess High Tea Garden Party, full of blushing bouquets, gorgeous watercolor stationery & tea party sweets fit for a Queen. One of my favorite details are the Disney Princess quotes at every place setting, which give the table a young, sweet feel while keeping with the overall elegant theme.

PARTY HIGHLIGHTS to look out for:

– Floral decorated crystal chandeliers hanging from trees + tables under a white canopy tent with ivy
– Tea sandwiches, mini raspberry tarts & chocolate eclairs + chocolate dipped Rice Krispie hearts
– Stunning gold leaf & floral painted cake + simpler individual cakes for each birthday girl
– Hand painted flower & tea cup cookies, pink rock candy & gorgeous flower crowns
– Princess Sparkles makeovers & candy buffet table for the kids+ ‘sani-tea’ hard iced tea for the parents

Come and join me down the rabbit hole today, where a magical party full of wonderfully nonsensical details awaits! Of course, for fans of the classic fairy tale, I’m pretty sure these playful details will make perfect sense. ;)

Cleverly styled by Juliet and Lucinda of The COOP, Alabama’s Alice in Wonderland Birthday Party draws inspiration from both the classic 1951 animated Disney film AND the 2010 Tim Burton fantasy film. You’ll find everything from the White Rabbit to the Mad Hatter to the Queen of Hearts/Red Queen… who happens to be the birthday girl’s favorite and the inspiration behind the awesome dessert table!

PARTY HIGHLIGHTS to look out for:

– Beverage dispenser drinks that “make you smaller or taller” + sparkly “Drink Me” cups
– Giant crepe paper rose number 7 with half of the roses painted red!
– “Down the Rabbit Hole” kids slide + adorable fondant white rabbit cake topper
– Queen of Hearts inspired sparkle wands, cake pops, and bright red heart shaped macarons
– Wonderland fondant cupcake toppers by Blue Cupcake (including a “tumbling” Alice!)
– Heart shaped playing cards “frame” for the cake + cute character-inspired party hats
– “Down the Rabbit Hole” bar for the grown up guests with cool DIY striped fabric backdrop
