We REALLY love hearing from you! Unfortunately, due to the high volume of emails we receive daily, it’s just not possible to respond to each of them directly, which has been a hard reality for us to accept. If you do not hear back from us, please know that we do genuinely appreciate your messages and are not trying to ignore you! We’ve just learned the hard way that it’s impossible to keep up with the heavy flow of emails on top of client work, daily blogging, business maintenance, family, friends, and life upkeep in general (gotta fit some sleep in there somewhere!).

If you’d like to submit a real party, wedding, or event for consideration, please send an email to submissions {at} hwtm.com with PARTY SUBMISSION & the theme or title of the party in the subject line. In the body of the email please include the following:

1. Your Info:
– Full Name
– Email Address
– Company Name (if applicable)
– Blog/Website Address (if applicable)

2. Party Details: a description of the theme, decorations, food/drinks, and any other details that may apply such as favors, activities, DIY projects, shopping resources, etc.

3. Images: HWTM is a highly visual site, so please include between 10-50 images that are unwatermarked and at least 800 pixels wide. Due to the visual nature of our website, please note that events with high quality photography and beautiful detail shots are more likely to be featured. Images can be sent via email – either as a link to the event’s photo album at hwtm.com (or another online photo gallery), or ideally as a .zip file. If your attachment is larger than 5 megabytes, please send it via dropbox or yousendit (they’re free!) or another similar file sharing service.

4. Vendor Credits & Resources: Please include the names of vendors that should be credited in the post such as photographers, florists, bakeries, etc. along with links to their websites. Relevant shopping resources with links are also appreciated.

EXCLUSIVITY
– We require exclusive submissions (excluding your own personal blog/website/Facebook page), so we can provide fresh and exciting content for our readers. If your party has already been submitted or featured somewhere else, please let us know where and when.
– Once your event has been accepted for a feature on the HWTM blog we ask for a 60 day window of exclusivity from your publication date prior to another blog or e-magazine submission for a Full Party Feature, and a 14 day window of exclusivity for our weekly Party of 5 post and our “Favorite Detail” post (which highlights & promotes one specific element of your party on our blog, along with a link to the full party album on our social site).

SELECTION PROCESS
While we’d love to be able to feature everyone’s events on the blog, we cannot guarantee a feature due to the high volume of submissions, and even selected events may take a while to post. If we are not able to feature your party, please know that this does NOT mean that we didn’t like it! It would more likely be due to one of the following reasons:

• We’ve already featured or committed to featuring several other parties in the same
category or with a similar look/theme.
• The event is not relevant for the time of year.
• There are just too many parties in the current pipeline, plain and simple.

Sharing Your Events on HWTM.com
We also encourage you to upload your party albums to hwtm.com! Anyone can set up a free profile that allows them to create photo albums and share events & party ideas with others. If you wish to keep your album private so that others do not see it until it is featured on the HWTM blog, simply set the album to “Private” until you’re ready for it to be public. (HWTM editors will still have the ability to view album submissions that are set to “private”, but no one else will be able to access them.)

Please ONLY submit products that are relevant to the HWTM. These include things such as home entertaining products (kitchen/cooking, dining, bar tools, etc.), party supplies, invitations/stationery, and event or cooking-related books.

If you would like to submit a product for editorial consideration, please send an email to submissions {at} hwtm.com with “PRODUCT Submission” in the subject line. In body of the email please include the following:

1. Your Info:
– your full name
– your email address
– the URL of the product/company’s website

2. Images: HWTM is a highly visual site, so please include images of the product that are at least 800 pixels wide, without watermarks. Due to the visual nature of our website, products with high quality photography are more likely to be featured. Images should be attached to the email. If your attachment is larger than 5 megabytes, please send it via dropbox or yousendit (they’re free!) or another similar file sharing service.

3. Description of the Product & Company: Please include a short write-up about the product and the company that you would like to be included in the post.

– Please understand that no product features are guaranteed and we do not include giveaways with posts but will consider a coupon or discount for readers.
– If you would like a guaranteed product feature and would like to do a Sponsored Giveaway, please inquire for rates. In addition to the sponsorship fee, we require a minimum of a $100 retail prize value for each giveaway. Giveaway posts are customized for each Sponsor and are posted on high traffic days in order to get the product and company maximum exposure.

Creative DIY Tutorials relevant to parties & entertaining  (decorations, floral design, cooking, crafting, etc.) are the type of Guest Posts that we typically accept/feature.

To submit a DIY Tutorial, please send an email to submissions {at} hwtm.com with “DIY TUTORIAL Submission” & the type of project in the subject line. In the body of the email please include the following:

1. Your Information:

3. Material & Supply List: Please include a bulleted list of all the materials and supplies needed in order to create this project. Also, please include the names of stores and links to their websites so readers can find these items.

4. Step by Step Instructions: In order for our readers to recreate these projects we ask that you include step by step instructions along with helpful hints and notes.
