Brews & Bowling Baby Shower: A Celebration into Parenthood

The main goal of a party is of course to celebrate the guest of honor, but it’s also important to make sure your guests are having fun as well. Which is why I love this Brews & Bowling Baby Shower: A Celebration into Parenthood, which was beautifully photographed by Angela Bartunek of Aster & Olive Photography and put together by the couples’ family & friends! The laid back vibe combined with retro decor creates the perfect atmosphere for everyone to have a total blast catching up, bowling & eating some delicious, non-fussy food (who doesn’t love sliders + beer?!)

PARTY HIGHLIGHTS to look out for:

– Teal tissue paper pinwheel welcome sign backdrop, paper chain links & polka dot garlands
– Baby blue painted bowling trophy food stand centerpieces + a retro teal & red tablescape
– Old school treats like Cracker Jacks & swirl lollipops + simple cupcakes & soda pop
– A retro bowling alley invitation, chalkboard signs + candy bag party favors

Formal & Elegant Pretty in Pink Baby Shower

This Formal & Elegant Pretty in Pink Baby Shower by Ashley Lloyd of Attention 2 Detail Events is a stunning example of how special a shower can be! Mommy-to-be wanted something romantic and close-knit, so Ashley delivered with a beautiful long communal dining table in an absolutely gorgeous setting (just look at those chandeliers!) To top it all off, each guest received their own individual rose topped red velvet cake to enjoy at the shower and then take home for later! I’m thinking that idea should be a definite trend-starter ;).

PARTY HIGHLIGHTS to look out for:

– Gold painted baby items like a bottle, booties & a carriage + mini tuxedo shirts for the guest of honors’ dogs
– Pearl draped pink rose floral centerpieces, a rose petal runner & romantic white candles at varied heights
– Pink raspberry champagne cocktails & “It’s a Girl” pink nail polish party favors
– The Price is Right game, balloon banner guest decorating & a formal harpist

DIY Tutorial: Candy Baby Rattles {Baby Shower Decor}

I’m excited to (finally!) share a fun little tutorial with you from the candy themed baby shower that I styled for Operation Shower back in March.

These were kind of a happy surprise. I was browsing Amazon for some decor elements for the party and stumbled on some translucent ball pit balls that looked just like giant pieces of hard candy… yay! So I instantly ordered them. Can you blame me? Amazon makes things way. too. easy. with that whole “One Click” thing. Next up: figuring out what to actually DO with them. (Yes, I do realize that’s the reverse order of how it normally goes, but it all worked out in the end!)

Anyways, I’d already used some photos of candy balls to create candy baby rattle graphics for the paper party collection, and decided that we obviously needed some 3D versions as well. ;)  The plastic balls were the perfect starting point… just throw in some real candy embellishments and hot glue, and voila: we’ve got ourselves some fun & colorful DIY Candy Baby Rattles!

They’re simple to make, and pretty dang cute! Gotta love that combo, right? Scroll down to check out the {sweet} tutorial below.

Valerie Gimre of Charming Touch Parties certainly included a LOT of charming touches in this Gender Neutral Garden Peter Rabbit Baby Shower! We get plenty of Peter Rabbit birthday parties around here, but not a ton of baby showers, and I am loving the sweet baby details that Valerie added. Like those too-cute ‘Baby’ stamped chocolate covered Oreos or the […]

If you’ve never seen the adorable movie, Up, go do that right now ;). Seriously though, Cheryl Nguyen, who had her young daughter’s birthday and another one on the way to celebrate, did an amazing job pulling details from the movie into this Pixar’s UP Themed Birthday & Gender Reveal dual-celebration. I was also so pleasantly surprised […]
