Charming ‘Pretty in Pink’ Pony Birthday Party

Charming Pretty in Pink Pony Birthday Party

Who knew a country western party could be so…pretty! Tabitha Blue of Fresh Mommy Blog combined a rustic ranch with feminine style to create this Charming ‘Pretty in Pink’ Pony Birthday Party and celebrate her little girl’s 6th birthday with all of the things she loves most. I love the contrast of the wooden barn with all of the pink details, especially that sparkling pink chandelier! Adds the perfect amount of glam to this little cowgirl’s birthday bash.

PARTY HIGHLIGHTS to look out for:

– PB&J uncrustable ‘pie’ pops, pink strawberry milk + caramel apples & mini pumpkin cupcakes
– A mini bunting topped pink ribbon cake + pink striped banner hung up on a clothesline
– Face painting & fake mustaches + rope walking, a scavenger hunt & pony ride activities
– A drink trough & story book for guests to sign + party favor filled mini pink bindles on sticks

PARTY DETAILS as told by Tabitha
:

There have been six years of happiness and growing, for both Aliyah and I. So we celebrated our girl and her beautiful, amazing six years with plenty of pink & ponies, sweet things & girly things, sticky things & lovely things, and oh so many things that make us smile.

My baby girl, my little one that isn’t so little anymore, just soaks it all in and takes the reigns, knowing what it’s all about… the ponies of course. (Her favorite thing.)

We opted to have the party at a local horse ranch, where there would be pony ride, a petting zoo, a train ride and a jungle gym. I’m sure they had no idea what to expect when we rolled in that morning with a truckload of supplies and began to unload, but soon the sideways glances and stares became “Oohs” and “Ahhs.” We didn’t need to come up with many activities because there was so much at the ranch to do, but the scavenger hunt we made was a huge hit with the girls. The pony rides were a favorite, with wee ones all taking their turn riding, over and over and over again, smiling through cheeks of painted snakes and butterflies.

For the kids, we wrapped up little goodies in a bandana and tied to sticks from our yard to make a western themed hobo bag. They scored a loot of bubbles, tattoos, a paper horse craft with crayons, harmonica and small toy horse.

We served food fit for a ranch with caramel apples, peanut butter and jelly on a stick, popcorn, cupcakes and cookies and then washed it all down with strawberry milk in milk bottles. Of course the cake was a beautifully ribboned cake to fit the theme, and delicious to boot.

Guests could choose to “don a stash” or indulge in face paint, and all were asked to sign a book for the birthday girl, a great way to commemorate the day and save everyone’s wishes in something that would last.

We decorated with fabric I had around and hung a pink chandelier to bring a little elegance to the ranch. All in all, the day was filled with things my girls loves… ponies, pink and the people in her life. It was a good day.
