Pretty Polka Dots & Pinwheels First Birthday Party

pinwheel and polka dot dessert table and smash cake

This Pretty Polka Dots & Pinwheels First Birthday is seriously on trend — and for good reason! Joanna Warbiany set out 6 months ahead of time planning this adorable birthday party for her daughter, Natalie, or as they like to call her, ‘Tilly’ (which I love). The classic combination of polka dots and pinwheels is just darling, and with the perfect color palette to boot, I think it’s safe to say this party is going to blow you away ;).

PARTY HIGHLIGHTS to look out for:

– Pink, yellow & blue dessert table with coordinating cake pops, salt water taffy, rock candy and more
– The birthday girl in a precious pink petty skirt, personalized pinwheel shirt & polka dot headband
– Pinwheel & polka dot adorned two-tier cake and matching smash cake + pearl & pinwheel topped cupcakes
– Beautifully written chalkboard first year sign + drink dispensers with creatively named cocktails

PARTY DETAILS as told by Joanna
:

For my daughter, Natalie’s first birthday, I wanted to style something adorable. I admit that I started the planning process when Natalie was just 6-months-old. I came up with the Polka Dots & Pinwheels theme and immediately started thinking of so many cute ideas! The party decor incorporated bright colors and fun details including a personalized backdrop, paper pinwheels and a two-tiered cake that included the birthday girl’s nickname, “Tilly.” The tissue pom poms added a girly feel to the display and coordinated with Natalie’s petty-skirt ensemble. I tried to be really creative with I came up with the names for the signature cocktails, “Tilly-tini” for the adults and a kids version, called “Tilly-Temple” which guests sipped from individual glass bottles paired with trendy paper straws. Party-goers filled favor boxes with a variety of sweet treats including cupcakes, brownie pops, hot pink gumballs, and rock candy.

for the dessert table sign – was that custom with WH or part of their collection? did you affix it to foam core? Love it…
