PARTY DETAILS, as told by Michelle

Adios 8th Grade… Hello Summer Pool party

8th grade is coming to an end for my oldest son, so we decided to go out with a splash and invite his closest friends over for an “End of School Year Pool Party”.  Middle school (in my day it was called Jr. High) is now behind him and we look onward to HIGH SCHOOL! Yikes!!!!

With his approval, we decided on a beach/surfer theme complete with beach ball paper lanterns, shark cupcakes, surf board cookies and pina colada cupcakes.  For the decor, I purchased beach/surfer items that will double as room decor for his upcoming bedroom makeover. I created all the coordinating paper stationary and I also painted some wooden tags with chalk board paint to label the goodies. We served hot dogs, chips and pasta salad and of course, the boys filled up on goodies from the dessert bar. They swam and played video games and swam again until dark.  Needless to say, my son and his friends (and his little brothers) had a blast!
