PARTY DETAILS, as told by Laila…
Working on this shower with Joanna and Vicente and their family was a dream.
I knew they wanted a yellow and gray owl themed twin baby shower. It couldn’t be boyish nor girly since they were expecting a boy and a girl. I know they like patterns and modern typography but they still wanted everything to have a classic elegance to it. It was a tough job because I knew how much they loved the theme and I really wanted to come up with something that they both loved.
For the save the date we came up with the circular pattern that they both agreed upon and used bold typography. The invitation followed. I designed the owl adding a bow to Stella’s one. We used a spectacular paper to wrap the invitation around and tied it with a yellow ribbon and circle cutout with the baby’s names.
Vicente and Joanna’s family pay close attention to all details. They met with Edda’s to create the perfect cake and went to Avant Gardens to make sure the florals were everything they wanted. The chose to go with The Setai Lounge and worked on the perfect menu, which included themed drinks like the signature mango mimosa which they greeted their guests with.
Joanna found the perfect soap favors on Etsy and had them match her colors, she did the same with the cookies and the banner. I made sure all the paper goodies coordinated and even created, upon their request, the cut out owls for the wishing tree.
I hope you all enjoy the shower as much as we all did!
