Playful pattern mixing, a vibrant theme and creative party decor can only mean one thing: the talented Kenna O’Brien of Miss Party Mom is on the scene! Her party ideas are always inspiring, but I think this Vintage Beach Baby Shower with darling printables by Party On! Designs and it’s fun, (relaxing!) summery feel is one of my favorites!
PARTY HIGHLIGHTS to look out for:
– Cute baby bikini garland, drinks in sand buckets and a berry crate “sand castle”
– Vanilla Sand Cupcakes with goldfish swimming under umbrellas + vintage beach baby cupcake toppers!
– Bathing suite and anchor cookie favors and polka dot, heart and bow decorated cake pops
– Ombre cake lined with “sand” and goldfish + Coca Cola with gold ric rac and blue polka dot straws
PARTY DETAILS, as told by Kenna…
I drove 3 hours to make it down to LA for the event bringing all of my party decor shoved tightly in my car! Since her and I were raised in the South Bay (Los Angeles) area, I thought a Vintage Beach Baby theme would be adorable and oh-so fitting. Once I learned that we had the perfect home to throw it at, located on the Hermosa Beach strand I knew it was going to be a wonderful shower with the perfect ocean view venue.
I teamed up with Amber from Party On! Designs to make this shower happen. She sent me lots of fun party stuff from decor (check out those awesome sand-covered strawberry baskets!!) to cupcake liners, paper straws, wooden forks, spoons and knifes that I “ocean-ombred”, as well linen bags that I printed her custom graphic on to. She also provided the adorable graphics with little to no direction – as in: “I’d like a vintage girl beach baby graphic” and voila! Magically it appeared. She even entertained my mini beach bag favors with custom labels for the sunscreen, pack of gum and hand sanitizer. I added a little decorative sand to the bottom of these clear bags as well as a drink umbrella because no beach bag should be with out one! The guests loved them!
Hannah who owns Hannah’s Cookies and Treats (located in Orcutt, Ca) made the cake, the adorable bathing suit cookies, cake pops and cupcakes. I couldn’t have pulled this shower off without her, so seriously – thank God she came with me!”
