PARTY DETAILS, as told by Leanne
;

This beautiful 1st Birthday party was created for my client’s long awaited first child, Mariette. Lorraine, Marriette’s mum asked me to create a pretty and elegant party with lots of stunning cakes and desserts for their large number of family and friends that were attending.

I spoke with Nicole from Pretty and Print about creating a custom set of printables starting with an invitation that had no specific theme but was pretty and elegant so we could tie the rest of the party decorations and food in.

Nicole came up with a gorgeous invitation that used the colours of soft pink, soft blue and gold.  We used this basis also to help create the backdrop and I used some beautiful paper flowers made by Daneve from Ah-Tissue to help give it a 3D effect.

The dessert table featured 9 stunning cakes all made by Jacki from Blissfully Sweet Cakes.  Jacki also made a selection of other beautiful desserts and Marina from M’s Cake Pop Shop made some very pretty sparkly cake pops.

The room was decorated with some stunning large round balloons with fabulous tassel frills as well as tissue paper balls and ribbon – created by Shannon from Born to Party this really made the room come alive.

We wanted the kids to have their own area to sit down and enjoy the party food so I spoke to Michelle from Little Wishes Parties who provided us with the cutest kids tables and chairs – complete with matching ruffle table cloths like on the dessert table.

For take home favours we made up little bags of fairy floss for each of the little guests to take home and the mums and dads were able to scoop some lollies out of the mini candy bar set up as they left.
