Easter Brunch Table Inspiration + Free Printables

Easter Brunch Table Inspiration + Free Printables

I was recently invited to design an Easter Brunch Tablescape inspired by a few of my favorite items from Target. Um…… twist my arm? ;)  Pretty sure I’ve dreamt up more than my fair share of tablescapes while browsing the aisles of Target season after season anyways, so this project was a no brainer!

Armed with a $100 gift card for the tablescape items and a very small window of shopping time (thanks to the restless 1 and 3 year olds in tow), I made a beeline for the seasonal dining & decor section at Target this weekend. At that moment I was 90% sure that the fabulous scalloped coral melamine plates I’d been admiring for weeks had finally found a legitimate excuse to land in my cart. And land in the cart they did…… for a few minutes at least. ;)

Scroll down to check out the final table, followed by details on the design process, easy styling tips to recreate this look at home, and links to download the free Easter printables!

DESIGN PROCESS & INSPIRATION

{Picking up from where I left off above} …as much as I loved those melamine coral plates, my plans changed when I hit the linen aisle in search of matching napkins… and instead stumbled upon some amazing multicolor Threshold™ placemats that went from a mix of deep teal and pale blue to a silvery gray/white combo, then finally turned to golden yellow. The watercolor-paint-like texture of the pattern reminded me of dip-dyed Easter eggs – especially how Easter eggs look when the dye job is perfectly imperfect – and I was instantly smitten on this new direction for the table.

So… out went the coral plates and in went the “painted” placemats, along with 2 sets of pretty yellow & gray floral print napkins with a similar “painted texture” look to their pattern, and 6 white ceramic plates that also had a pretty scalloped edge (hooray!). I also picked up a chalk/wood kitchen utensil holder to act as a vase and introduce some additional textures into the mix. (All of these items are by Threshold™ and are available individually in-store. Online they are sold in sets.)

I’d used up most of my shopping budget at this point, so I knew the rest of the table elements would come from what I already owned, but I did want to grab one thing that was a little more obviously “Easter”. Luckily, the solution sat on a nearby end cap: a simple & modern, all-white bunny shaped treat jar!

STYLING THE TABLE

Taking a cue from the textures in the Threshold placemats and napkins, I designed a couple watercolor inspired printables for the tablescape (download them free below!) and used ribbon and paper to tie everything together. Here are some of the (super easy) styling highlights in case you want to recreate this look for your own Easter celebrations. Enjoy!

Centerpiece:
– Ribbon used as a “Table Runner”
– Square utensil holder “vase” embellished with printable scalloped labels (cut out by hand)
– White and yellow flowers: Mini Penny Hydrangea, Tulips, and Snapdragon (all picked up at the grocery store!)
– Bunny treat jar elevated with a small white cake stand
– Plastic speckled easter eggs embellished with ribbon
– 3 mini spice jars used as bud vases for yellow tulips

Place Settings:
– Ribbon “Napkin Rings” utilizing 3 different trims: wide ribbon + skinny ribbon + gold fuzzy yarn trim
– Threshold™ placemats, napkins, and scalloped dinner plates
– Stemware embellished with printable party flags
– Water glasses decorated with gold glitter tape
– Acrylic gold charger plates & flatware for a touch of elegance!

Thanks, Kim! Do you mean the blue dishes that have this same scalloped look to them as these white ones? I seriously ALMOST got those but they didn’t have enough plates in stock at my local Target! so yes… they match! ;)
