That didn’t stop these ladies! They created everything from the barn backdrop to the super-cute barn yard animal desserts. :)

“Once Upon A Shower” Dessert Table {Operation Shower}

Tanya of Save the Date for Cupcakes was super excited to work on the dessert table for Operation Shower‘s recent Once Upon A Shower themed baby shower event in NYC… and rightfully so with such an amazing cause attached! With a lot of support and teamwork from many other great vendors (donated in honor of our troops & their families) this storybook theme came to life in a big way! Read on to see how once upon a time, 40 military-moms-to-be were showered with love, gratitude, and insanely cute sweets… at what can only be described as a fairytale of a baby shower. ;)

Pun intended. ;) Our talented contributor – Jen of Jen CYK Photographycaptured all the wonderful “organic” moments in this amazing party, as dreamed up by Deanna of  Deanna Moore Design. From trail map invitations (filled with drawings made by the birthday girl!) to clever nature inspired activities like make-your-own trail mix and plant-your-own mini garden stations, this party is a nature lover’s dream come true. {Crafty & Stylish} Construction First Birthday Party

CAUTION! You may want to put on your hard hat to handle the loads of creativity in this Construction First Birthday Party! I absolutely love the story about the inspiration for this party too… Shannon Roache of Very Pretty Parties started construction for a pool right before Brody’s birthday – and instead of worrying about the mess she totally made it work to her advantage! Pint-sized party guests were “put to work” with construction plan coloring sheets and construction toys… then “paid” handsomely in cupcakes, candy, and toy dump trucks to take home. ;)

This You Are My Sunshine Birthday Party is completely sun kissed! Jenny of Bloom Designs Online crafted this party for her daughter, who is her little “sunshine”. :) The girls dined and sipped on a sun-inspired meal (sun chips, sun-dried tomato pasta & more!) underneath a draped sunset colored canopy and took home activity keepsakes of painted sunscapes, decorated flip flops and gum ball necklaces!

Abigail of Paper & CAKE has a cousin who just became a new mommy-to-be, so of course she baked up something special with the guest of honor in mind! Inspired by their beach-centric location AND shared love of pies, Abigail created this adorable Vintage Surf Baby Shower + Pie Bar. The result of this outside-the-bakery-box theme? The sun is definitely shining on this Indoor Picnic Party! Location was no problem for Michelle and Seri of Little Miss Party Planner; they made Leela’s first birthday feel just like sunny day in the park… even though it was actually held in a tiny NYC apartment space 30 floors up!
