PARTY DETAILS, as told by Eileen…
What happens when you bring together a young man with a passion for baseball and the event planning team of Diva With A Fork? A homerun Bar Mitzvah celebration!
During the cocktail hour, guests picked up their baseball ticket place cards on a table resembling a baseball field complete with stadium lights. Cocktail tables were dressed with framed quotes from famous baseball players, coaches and sports announcers accented with votive candles and red rose petals for a pop of color.
In the main ballroom, guest tables were dressed in tones of blue with festive ballpark overlays decorated with pictures of baseball gloves, hats, hot dogs and popcorn draped atop. Beautiful floral centerpieces, accented with bags of real buttery popcorn and Cracker Jacks sat on glass risers filled with baseballs. MLB team names took the place of table numbers. Teams like the Rays, Braves and Cardinals adorned pennants placed prominently in each centerpiece for guests to find their tables as they entered the ballroom. White napkins folded in the shape of baseball diamonds added a playful finishing touch to the table decor.
The guest of honor’s favorite team, the Yankees was showcased in the children’s V.I.P. area. Children gathered around cocktail tables decorated with Yankee Mylar balloons anchored to popcorn containers overflowing with popcorn, bags of Big League Chew bubble gum and baseballs.
Food stations scattered throughout the room, were decorated with a variety of baseball paraphernalia. Each one proudly displayed signage from a famous baseball stadium in the U.S. Guests delighted in a menu filled with a plethora of upscale ballpark fare. In honor of the Bar Mitzvah boy, we named a field after him. Signage baring the name, “Logan Field” was prominently displayed in lights above a life-size ticket booth in the center of the food station area.
After an amazing evening of dinner, dancing, games, photo booth and airbrush fun, guests stopped by a large candy table to take home bags filled with their favorite sugary treats.
