Creative “Heart Crusher” Valentine Party

Finally… an adorable Valentine’s Day party that is cool enough even for the toughest of BOYS! I am so excited to share this “HEART CRUSHER” themed party brought to us by Paula from Party Like Paula. Not only did she find a way to incorporate modern and fun patterns into her printables and classic heart shapes throughout all the yummy treats, but Paula was also able to make her 2 boys enjoy every minute of it by mixing in the creative element of MONSTER trucks!

Read on for more fun images & creative details…

PARTY DETAILS, as told by Paula

“I am a mom of 2 boys and run into the same issue every Valentine’s Day.  Trying to find cute, fun, boy themed Valentine’s that will meet my son’s approval!  Monster trucks are a hot commodity in our house and each have a name.  I decided to design a printable monster truck Valentine’s Collection this year and name it HEART CRUSHER.

My oldest is a boy’s boy and wants nothing to do with the color pink or anything that almost even resembles a heart.  I kept this in mind while designing this collection.  Aqua and red paired with fun modern patterns accented with a monster truck creates a fun take on your ordinary Valentine’s.

The collection includes 4 Valentine’s Cards, 4 Treat Bag Valentine Toppers, 2 Fry Boxes, 2 Favor Boxes, 4- 2″ Inch Party Circles, 7 inch Shirt Transfer, 4 Mini Dessert/Food Labels, 4 Patterned Papers, HEART CRUSHER Banner, Water Bottle Wrap and Dessert/ Food Flags.  You can purchase this collection here.

The dessert table features mini monster trucks holding chocolate rocks.  A tire clock from my son’s room that I turned onto its side is topped with wax lips.  Mini white cups filled with cherry jello are accented with 2″ party circles.  Sucker sticks hold candy cherry slices and are placed inside the jello cups.  Bottles of strawberry soda are wrapped in water bottle wraps and set upon DIY cake plates.  I made them from clear vases filled with mini monster trucks and set a black plate on top.  Cherry pastry bites sit on top of strawberry whoppers and cinnamon cupcakes are placed upon cinnamon candy.  Rice Krispie pops showcase a fondant broken heart and are wrapped in cello, tied with a ribbon and a party circle.  I was able to put my left over mini candy canes to use by making candy cane chocolate suckers.

Send your boy to school this year with a fun Valentine that you’ll both be proud of!”

Thanks Jennifer! I did this back in December so I had tons of those mini candy canes lying around and some extra red chocolate in the cabinet so I just threw them in there, but they ended up being so cute in the back of the trucks : )
