Wonderlandia Tablescape Exhibit Preview

Alice in Wonderland Party Table

I’m still recovering a bit from post-event Wonderlandia madness today – as well as a self-induced sugar coma from unpacking leftover candy this weekend and eating way too much of it! {The treat bags did say “Eat Me” after all, right?} =) We’re really happy with how everything went though and can’t wait to recap all the details for you!

The official photographer pics of everything won’t be ready until next week, but of course I’m ridiculously antsy to share some sneak peeks… so luckily Adrienne from Cherish Paperie was gracious enough to let me grab some pics from her Facebook album so I could share a little preview with you today.

The images below are all from the amazing designers that participated in our “Wonderlandia Tablescape Exhibit“: Jesi Haack, Carolyn Chen, Heather Ham, Victoria Hudgins, and Abigail Barnes {and then I did the table pictured at top myself, which has a look & feel that coordinates with the rest of the event decor}. We’ll be doing a detailed post on each individual table & designer {with vendor credits} next week once we have all the images, so stay tuned for that! One of my favorite things about these tables is that they each follow the Wonderlandia theme but are tailored to a different special occasion and showcase each designer’s unique, individual style… and we’re talking about some SERIOUS STYLE! And now onto the sneak peeks…

Charming Yellow & Orange Baby Shower

Yellow and Orange Baby Shower

How about a healthy dose of SUNSHINE to brighten your day? This gorgeous Yellow & Orange Baby Shower from Megan of Blaine Photography is the perfect mix of vintage and modern and is absolutely GLOWING with charming, sunny details!

One of my favorite elements has got to be the baby food jar “vases” embellished with organic crocheted ribbon for a touch of softness, and then of course there are the beautiful flowers themselves, the stunning display of color-coordinating food, the elegant stationery details {which just so happen to be starring one of my very favorite fonts!}, the sweet, homemade “It’s a Girl” banner fashioned from burlap-and-twine, and more…

{Free Printables} Vintage Sweet Shoppe Baby Shower – Pink & Gray GIRL Version

You might have seen the Vintage Sweet Shoppe Baby Shower {pictured above} that I posted a while back along with free printables that were tailored for a Baby BOY celebration…well, I’ve had several requests for a GIRL version, so that’s what you’re getting today!

The most requested color scheme was Pink & Gray – so I ran with that and actually love how the printables turned out in the new palette – what do you think?

Sweet Shoppe Baby Shower Girl Printables

Hope I have an excuse to recreate the entire theme in these colors one day now… and if you do it I’d LOVE to see pics! I think the yarn ball ice cream cones would be darling in pink, white & gray though… maybe utilizing some silver speckled gray yarn for extra sparkle?!

The free printables include: Mini Cupcake Toppers, 5×7 Decorative Signs, Napkin Rings, Favor Tags, blank Place Cards/Buffet Labels, and Decorative Embellishments. You’ll find links to download everything at the bottom of this post. (more…)

A Romantic, Beach-Inspired Wedding Theme

Beach Wedding or Bridal Shower

Want to know a little secret? A Designer/Stylist + a vintage Paper Specialist + Cupcake/Bake shop = an Amazing Beach Wedding TableScape (at least it does in this case!). Lisa, of Fancy That and her friends definitely have a recipe for success… I’m loving how they incorporated a serene “beach-life” vibe into this romantic dessert table, which is lovely creative inspiration for everything from weddings to bridal showers and engagement parties!

Everything about this theme is incredibly creative: from the graham cracker sand scattered on top of the cake & cupcakes, to the beautiful hand stamped sea-shells with the bride and grooms names to  the message in a bottle cake topper (complete with a little distressed vintage love note of course!). Also loving the edible sea-shell & distressed paper flag cupcake toppers… Even the party favors are adorned with frayed “rope” and a distressed star-fish tag to complete the soft, beach-y feel.

As an encore to Friday’s Bumble Bee party, we couldn’t resist sharing another fabulous Bumble Bee Birthday! This time the theme was brought to life with a bold black & yellow palette, and a variety of ultra-modern patterns accented with playful black & white gingham. His & Hers 30th Birthday on the Beach

His & Hers 30th Birthday on the Beach

How’s this for a unique His & Hers Birthday Celebration… or even for a milestone birthday for just one “him” or “her”: instead of a big party, have an intimate little celebration in a beautiful setting, and capture it all on camera for long lasting memories!

That’s exactly what Victoria from A Subtle Revelry did to celebrate the milestone 30th birthdays of both her and her husband. There’s such a calming, sweet simplicity to this happy & kick-back little party… It’s also full of Victoria’s signature style & thoughtful, handmade touches like a “birthday unlist” featuring funny, honest, and helpful lessons that the couple has learned over the past thirty years, hand-written on strips of ripped fabric. I’m also loving the summer float bar {featuring ice cream-topped blush wine for her and porter beer for him}, the easy-peasy wire curlicue confetti and of course the fabulous “giant candle” made of matchsticks!

Wonderlandia: Paper Elements Sneak Peek

Here’s a sneak peek at one of the things I’ve been busy with lately…the paper elements for Wonderlandia next week! Can you tell how much fun I’m having with this theme?! =) Some of the designs pictured above are going to be edible too… ridiculously excited about that! Our house kind of seriously looks like a Mad Hatter tornado ripped through it right now… {special thanks to my husband for literally living amongst the party decor craziness yet again without too many complaints!}.

But it’s tea pots and rabbits and hot pink & red flamingos galore over here…ya, we opted for painting the flamingos red instead of the roses! Might still do a few of those too though… stay tuned! (more…)

A Happy & Modern Housewarming Brunch

Modern Housewarming Brunch

Are you CEREAL with how cute & creative this Housewarming Brunch is?! That’s what I thought when I first saw the pics of this oh-so-modern brunch by my {creative-genius} pal Amy of Operation Shower. The other first impression brought about by these bright, warm colors? HAPPY! And that’s exactly how you should feel when you first move into a new place, right? (Or at least when you’re through a decent chunk of those boxes!)

Some of my favorite details are the play-on-words elements like “Make a Toast” mimosa drink charms, the “donut be a stranger” party favors, and the “Are you cereal?sign above the cereal bar. You could easily tailor these ides to another occasion as well… Mother’s Day, baby shower brunch, bridal shower brunch, or even a just-for-fun breakfast party.

“Springtime in Paris” Engagement Party

Paris Inspired Engagement Party

Who says a chic Paris-inspired party has to come with runway-style price tags? This sweet & romantic “Springtime in Paris” Engagement Party that Carolyn & Prescott hosted to celebrate their big news was pulled together on a shoestring budget, while still managing to look like a high fashion fete!

Blackberry mojitos, country-style French lemonade, sparkling peach champagne, and French wine… CHEERS! Petite pastries, Nutella crepes, mini Quiche Lorraines with bacon & parmesean, Croque Madames… BON APETIT! I also love the thoughtful details included with this party – like the berets that Carolyn gifted to her bridesmaids {which made for such cute pics!} and the “engagement bling” watch that she gave her fiance because she felt it “was only fair to reciprocate!” =) And I actually think the bride-to-be’s outfit could serve as the party’s centerpiece alone – how about you?!

Preppy Pink Polka Dot “Crabby” Birthday

Pink Crabby Birthday Party

What’s not to love about this adorable Preppy Pink Polka Dot Crabby Birthday Party from Jess of Party Box Design?! I love how this isn’t your traditional girl’s birthday party theme, but it’s still oh-so-feminine and stylish! Darling Woodland Owl Baby Shower {Girl}

Cake and Florals

Whooo could ask for a more adorable Owl Woodland Themed Baby Shower than this one?  The amount of time, effort and creative talent put into this celebration isn’t for the birds. *wink*  So whooo is responsible for all of the gorgeous florals, beautiful banners and every detail attended to?

Dessert Table details

Marci of Entwined Design Florals is the lucky mom-to-be whooo’s Woodland Owl themed baby shower was inspired completely by her nursery decor. The invitation was even created based off of the hand-painted mural in the baby’s room. Marci enlisted help from April of Events Inspired by Love, and they both collaborated on achieving the woodland-vibe baby shower Marci was hoping for.  Amanda Bevington Modern Photography captured all of the gorgeous details including the use of real Grapewood Branches, Succulents, Crespedia and seven shades of one of my very favorite flowers: Ranunculus.

A Charming Southern-Style Summer Picnic

Southern Style Picnic

There’s something about outdoor summer parties that just makes me so happy… I think it’s their ability to drum up memories of being carefree kid again for at least a moment. Case in point: check out the warm & inviting, “breezy summer” vibe if this fabulous Southern-Style Picnic from Ebony of Sparkling Events & Design!

Ebony created this party for a newlywed couple that had just returned home from their destination wedding and wanted to celebrate with friends and family that were unable to attend the wedding. The bride was from the South and wanted the party to have a Southern-style charm, which was brought to life through the choice of fabrics, colors and sweet decorative elements like like mason jars, doilies, and pretty blue hydrangea displayed in gingham-embellished tin cans. I’m also especially loving the giant rose tissue and paper doily pomander balls hanging from the trees, and the ridiculously cute fondant animal cupcake toppers.
