Winner Update: This Giveaway is now closed. While we wish all of you who entered could have won a $5o gift card to HomeGoods we had to randomly pick 4 winners. So congrats to MeganF who said, “LOVE homegoods! Would love to put together a gorgeous Christmas dinner table, or I’d want those martini glasses!!! Fab!“, Danielle, who said, “I adore Home Goods! Unfortunately the budget is so tight this year that there’s no room for anything new in the decorating budget. I’d LOVE to get some new sparkly things for the holidays and to change out my old, drab color scheme! Thank you so much for the giveaway!“, Tiffany, who said, “I LOVE LOVE LOVE HomeGoods!!!! I’ve got my eye on some seriously cute pillows that this would be great to use for. BUT I do love those plates and they have so many fun things.“, and Cynthia, who said, “I love all the items shown above…ESPECIALLY all the gold and purple items. HomeGoods ROCKS!!“ Once again congrats ladies!
As a follow up to PART 1 of the HomeGoods challenge featuring the Owl-themed Fall/Thanksgiving Table… here’s a recap of some other fall entertaining trends and favorite finds discovered along the way during that same shopping trip. Some of these finds actually made it into the cart and are awaiting their debut at an upcoming party… like the cool wooden bowl displayed in the very top pic, which actually already made a holiday debut! :)
Hope you enjoy this little photo recap, complete with caption bubbles to help illustrate the “shopping in party mode” thought process a little better… and if you’d like to go shopping too, GOOD NEWS! HomeGoods is giving away $50 GIFT CARDS to FOUR lucky readers this week. (And the cool birdie jewelry holder/statue below was only $9.99, so $50 can go a long way!) See details on how to enter at the bottom of this post.
Have you ever eaten at one of The Palm Restaurants? We’ve been to the ones in San Diego and Las Vegas (Caesar’s Palace) and the food is always AMAZING! So imagine my surprise when I first saw their collection of white dinnerware, white serveware and cooking tools lining the aisles at HomeGoods… super cool designs and great staples for entertaining! I’ve been coveting these particular plates for a while now:
Another party staple: pillar candle holders! Rarely do I use these for candles though… they more often get paired with a plate topper and serve as pedestals/risers for appetizers, mini desserts, party decor, and even picture frames. Such a great/affordable tool for adding height to whatever you need to prop up…
More of the cool wooden bowls discussed above. These are kind of surprisingly expensive in general, so the nearly 1/2 off prices at HomeGoods were a welcome change. I picked up a medium sized bowl this time, but love the one with the “basket handle” too… maybe next time!
A color palette I’m seeing all over the place these days… very popular for the holidays this year:
Love this cake server. That’s all…
My shopping partner isn’t as big of a “window shopping” fan as me yet…one day she’ll get it. ;)
HOW TO ENTER the gift card giveaway:
• Post a comment below, mentioning something you’d like to shop for if you win OR one of your favorite pieces highlighted above.
• Giveaway ends Sunday, November 20th at midnight PST. The FOUR WINNERS will be chosen randomly and announced here after they’ve been notified via email and accepted the prize. Good luck!
P.S. HomeGoods recently opened a new store in Point Loma, San Diego! Now shopping for these great finds is even more convenient with 1 more location close by! If you live in the San Diego area this store is located in Loma Square where Rosecrans and Midway meet. Don’t forget about the other fabulous locations in Poway and Encinitas too!
