GIVEAWAY from The LASIK Vision Institute

GIVEAWAY from The LASIK Vision Institute

This Giveaway is now closed. We truly wish that all of you who entered could have won this amazing, life changing prize because as we all know our eyesight is a remarkable gift! Well let’s get right down to it! The incredibly lucky winner is…Commenter # 539, Lindi, who said, “I normally don’t enter contests because I’m like the unluckiest person alive, but this is too good to pass up! I’ve been wearing glasses/contacts since I was in 5th grade and would love the life changing opportunity to have Lasik surgery. It’s one of those things that has always been on my ‘so desperately want’ list, but has been pushed back due to the cost. Having the surgery would improve my quality of life (and itchy eyes) dramatically! I would just die if I won!” Congrats!! We hope the results are everything you dreamed of!

So let me just start off by saying that this is CLEARLY something very different from the typical party/entertaining-related Giveaways that we usually run at HWTM, but with such an amazing prize, it was just too good to pass up… because The LASIK Vision Institute is offering up a LASIK eye surgery procedure VALUED AT a WHOPPING $4000 to a very lucky reader!

I know first-hand what a life-changer this can be because I had LASIK myself almost 7 years ago now, and it seriously changed my life overnight (or actually in the span of about 15 minutes to be more precise). I remember registering literally the exact second when my vision improved during the procedure – it was like I’d been looking through an out-of-focus camera lens and suddenly it came into focus – it was surreal! And I definitely do NOT miss the days when I could barely read the alarm clock on the night stand next to my bed unless I picked it up and held it approximately 4 inches from my face (ya – my vision was really THAT bad without contacts). Sound familiar to anyone else?

This is amazing – great giveaway! I have wanted lasik for so long. To wake up and see clearly without having to reach for glasses or put contacts in would be absolutely wonderful!! I’ve also taken up scuba diving. I recently got my certification and am planning to go to Australia next year to dive, so lasik would be perfect!

I would love LASIK eye sugery for myself. I have worn contacts or glasses for 15 years. They get in the way of my everyday life. I can’t wear sunglassesifi wear glasses, I can’t hunt, my glasses bounce when I run. It would be a dream come true to finally see perfect with out all the nonsense in the way.

My heart almost flat lined when I saw this opportunity! I would LOVE to win this for myself. I have worn glasses since I was in 5th grade and now I’m nearly 36. I’ve wanted to have Lasik done ever since I heard about it, but there’s always something else that comes up that is more pressing like car repairs or medical bills, etc… I would love this because I would love to see again, plain and simple. And to go outside and wear sunglasses without getting dust under my contacts or have to wear glasses all the time would be an amazing gift. Thank you for this chance. :)

I can remember sitting in my Kindergarten class praying for cool glasses like one of my girl classmates had. They were rosy pink and even had those holder strings. Less than 2 years later my prayers were answered and I was the owner of a pink pair of plastic rimmed glasses with tint and my very own set of holder strings. And then reality set in. I got the attention too, it was then I realized 4 eyes and coke bottle were not compliments. Luckily I was able to move into contacts in 7th grade once astigmatism contacts were readily available. I have put on contacts every day since. Now I’m a 30 year old mother of 2 who fumbles around for my glasses in the middle of the night to see what time I’m doing late night feedings or to see what the baby is doing on the monitor. I wake up 45 minutes earlier than the rest of the house just to start getting myself ready, because my contacts may not go in easy. It has been just one of those things that are apart of my life. I have to say I’m so thankful for modern day technology and medicine that allows me to see with corrective lenses, b/c boy, what a creek I would be in without it. I can only imagine what life would be like without the hassle. The LASIK procedure is a thought I’ve toyed around with for years but some financial “surprise” always seems to come up that prevents me from going through with it. If I offer any wisdom from personal experience, be careful what you pray for, God really came through in full on my glasses prayer :-p

Every time I have to order my contacts I think of having lasik surgery! Every time something goes in my eye and leaves me paralazed for at least an hour while I try to clean and fix my contacts I think of lasik surgery. If you have ever seen the movie “Gattaca” when he takes off his contacts and tries to run across the street THAT’S EXACTLY HOW I SEE without my glasses. I would LURVE to finally be able to live contact/glasses free!!!

Julie SAYS:

My boyfriend needs LASIK! He knows it and talks about getting it. He often gets eye infections or blood shot eyes after just wearing his contacts for 10 hours. But we are going to be planning our wedding soon and that will take a good chunk of our savings. So the LASIK will keep getting pushed back. :( He would be so relieved to not have to wear his contacts or glasses ever again.

I have always wanted to get LASIK since I was in high school. I am so ready to be done with contacts and glasses. I struggle with putting contacts in and glasses are such a nuisance.

Tammy Hildebrandt SAYS:

At first thought I was going to say it would be for me so I could see my beautiful daughter without my glasses, but on giving it a bit more thought I think I might give it to my brother in law. He has been wearing glasses since before grade school. He can’t see squat without them. He has three beautiful children and a lovely wife and I think he could benefit from this even more than I would. I can still see without my glasses, but he can’t. So if I won this, I would give it to him!

The lasik would be for my husband if I won. He has spent his whole life in glasses, strong ones. I just started wearing them, so figure it is my turn, and he should enjoy the freedom of being without.

If I were to win I would give to my husband. He’s talked about having it done in the past, but hasn’t done anything about it. This would make a wonderful, unexpected surprise for him. Thanks for opportunity!

Sierra N. SAYS:

It would be incredible to win LASIK eye surgery for my husband Kurt. This would be such a life changer for him. He has worn glasses or contacts since he was a kid. It would dramatically change his life to not have to worry about putting on glasses or contacts every morning. Money has been so tight lately that he has been wearing old contacts way longer than he should in order to save money. It’s not good for his eyes and causes lots of pain. His birthday is coming up in December and I would love to be able to surprise him with this as the gift of a lifetime. He has always dreamed of being able to has LASIK surgery but has pretty much given up on that dream knowing we could never afford it. My husband is the most deserving person I know. He is sweet and kind and always puts everyone else’s needs before his own. He loves photography and wants to start his own photography business one day. His sight really limits him though in photography. Being able to see clearly would give him the opportunity to become an incredible photographer and maybe down the road if we can afford it to start a business for him. Please please my my hubby’s dream of perfect vision come true. It would mean so much to us.
