Recipe & DIY Tutorial: S’mores Push Pops

Whether you’re throwing a camping-themed party or just adding some fun to a “camp out” in your own backyard, these S’MORES PUSH POPS are a fun twist on the traditional campfire treat! Not only are they easy to whip up, but they really do taste as good as they lookdon’t think we didn’t devour these right after this shoot! =)

You can find the cute push pop containers (which seem to be all the rage right now) at the Saving Dates etsy shop. Amber made the cutest little “campfire” embellishments for the front of these pops using craft sticks & felt, which is a fun project for the kids to help with too!

(See images 3 – 9, above)
– Graham crackers
– Jet-Puffed Marshmallow Creme
– 1/2 cup Butter (1 stick)
– Hershey’s Chocolate Bars
– Chocolate pudding
– Push Pop Containers
– Ziplock bags (2 small, 1 large)

Crush graham crackers in a big ziplock bag. Melt butter in the microwave, then pour it into the graham cracker bag. Mix well. Take a spoonful of the graham and butter mixture and put it in the bottom of the push pop container.

Next, take the chocolate pudding and put it in a small ziplock bag. Seal the bag and cut on of the bottom corners off with a pair of scissors. Gently squeeze out the pudding into the push pop container to form the 2nd layer. Break off 1 square of a Hershely’s chocolate bar and place on top of the pudding layer. Using another small ziplock bag with the corner snipped off, squeeze a layer of marshmallow creme into the push pop. Top the marshmallows with one more layer of graham crackers, then seal the push pop container with its lid.

Repeat the above steps until you have the desired amount of push pops!

(See images 10 – 13, above)
– Popsicle sticks or wooden craft sticks
– Brown marker (we used Prismacolor)
– Colored Foam Sheets or Felt (for the “fire”)
– scissors, glue gun/glue sticks

Break popsicle or craft sticks in half. Leave the rough edge so that it looks like real wood. Color the sticks with a brown Prismacolor marker to enhance the grain of the sticks. Glue the sticks in a “x” like form using a hot glue gun. Cut “flames” from red & orange colored foam. (We used glittered foam sheets to enhance the fire aspect.) Glue the flames onto the sticks, then use hot glue to securely attach them to the front of the push pop containers.

To keep your finished S’mores Push Pops upright, insert them into a styrofoam-filled container.

– Rectangular vase or container
– Styrofoam
– Ribbon, raffia
– Mini marshmallows

Cut the styrofoam to fit snugly in the vase or container of your choice. Embellish the container with ribbon and raffia. Insert the push pops into the styrofoam, then hide the styrofoam with mini marshmallows!
