Under the Big Top and Dreaming: Pretty in Pink Elephant Baby Shower

Under the Big Top and Dreaming: Pretty in Pink Elephant Baby Shower

Any mommy-to-be would be tickled pink to walk into such a FABULOUS baby shower! The details are stunning…with a delightful color scheme of pink, white and green…this big top party will leave you dreaming of pretty things!  Darling decor – such as a nostalgic chalkboard with a rendering of a classic circus tent – welcomed guests to this “3-Ring Circus“. And how about a stylized big top canopy made from fabric, draping ribbons and mini yarn pom poms?

All of the party details were perfectly executed by Stacy McCain Event Planning. The classic trellis-like pattern on the table linens was also mimicked in the paper goods, and this repetition of pattern helped add to the modern sophistication of this sweet shower.

PARTY DETAILS, as told by Wesley

“We designed a sweet elephant themed baby shower for baby girl Maika! Staying in the pink/white/green color palette snacks included red velvet cupcakes, strawberry shortcake on a stick, bite size cheesecakes on a stick, and various pink, white and green candies.

The party also featured homemade ‘juggler’s juice’ – a fruity concoction created by Stacy McCain. Most of the treats (and ingredients) were bought in china town and local grocery stores, then assembled by Stacy.

Activities included matching the name of a baby animal to its mother (i.e. cub to mama bear). Many of the decorations are DIY including the mini yarn pom poms placed all around the area, the honoree’s pink yarn wrapped chair and the pick foot stool – which is a large bouncy workout ball wound in yarn – another game was to guess the amount of yarn it took to wrap it!”

That looks so pretty! All the decorations and food look perfect together. Is that a big chalkboard-where is that from? I have recently found chalkboard spray paint and have used that with a cute frame to make a big chalkboard too..

The pictures are adorable! I love finding new party theme ideas on the site… If I used the yarn idea at a shower, I would save the yarn after the party was over and make something for the baby, and mom, too, if there was enough!
