REAL PARTIES: Knights & Dragons Birthday

REAL PARTIES: Knights & Dragons Birthday

I was smitten with this fun “Knights and Dragons” theme created by Jennifer of Posh Tot Events from the moment I laid eyes on these adorable Medieval Knight Helmet cake pops! And of course there are contrasting Dragon cake pops as well!

Also loving “medieval tent” Jennifer created by adding colorful fabric & crafty touches to a standard 10×10 pop up tent… what a fun party space for the “royal guests”!

REAL PARTIES: Knights & Dragons Birthday

*****

The theme of this birthday party was “Knights & Dragons“. We started by designing a playful dragon illustration that was used on everything from the invitations to the cookie favors.

We selected a gold, royal blue and lime green color scheme for the event and created a medieval tent, using an ordinary 10×10 pop up tent embellished with yards of brightly colored fabric. (see image #2, above)

We created Knight tables (round of course!) and used a checkerboard fabric, pinking shears and iron-on hem tape to make cool, no-sew toppers for basic folding chairs.

The centerpieces displayed fierce dragons and knights standing atop glass cylinders wrapped in the same checkerboard fabric as the chairs.

A sweets buffet featured mini donuts, dragon cookies, an amazing dragon cake, themed cake pops and caramel corn in green and gold…

Cute party! I love the fact that this party went beyond the dessert tables and actually showed children having fun (playing activities) and enjoying themselves. First real party I’ve seen in a long time … great job!

Ok so I REALLY want to replicate these cake pops for my boyfriend’s fantasy themed (28th!) birthday party. I also thought it would be fun to make mace cake pops to go with the dragons and knights, but I’m having a hard time figuring out what to use as the spikes. Any suggestions? Thanks!
