So excited to finally be able to share this Modern Garden Baby Shower theme I created for iVillage.com! This theme was so much fun to work on… and you can find the complete DIY details for every element right here.
I know summer’s wrapping up, but you can always create an indoor flower garden year-round, right?! =) And there are also a lot of ideas here you can tailor to other themes & occasions – from “How Fast She’s GROWN” first birthdays to “Love in BLOOM” bridal showers…

Pictured above: mason jar lemonade signature drinks with “button flower” stirrers.
Pictured below: “flower cookies” growing from a faux grass mat! Such a fun touch for a themed dessert buffet…

Sneak peeks of everything from the centerpieces to the favors are below…

A super-easy idea featuring fruit-filled vases accented with a paper band…

Another centerpiece or accent decor idea with grass mats & gerberas…

And possibly the easiest centerpiece of all, starring inexpensive potted plants, ric-rac, & buttons...

“Garden stake” food labels to use on buffet & dessert tables…

Button flower napkin rings…

Button flower “drink charms” for stemware…

(Mom-to-be friendly sparkling berry lemonade is pictured in the champagne flutes below.)

I actually think it would be fun to create a veggie version of this too, utilizing fall colors…hmmm…. =)

It’s gorgeous! I loved every single details, the mix of colors, fruits, flowers. Very creative!
Awww I just love this!
Love! The easiest and most impressive decorations are those that don’t require a ton of prep! Love the idea of using already potted plants and adding finising touches to personalize it a bit more! Thanks for sharing!
Yay! Spring is so almost here, using this most definitely! Wish I could be a professional party “giver” LOL

Flower cookies look soooooo good – Do you have a recipe or somewhere to buy them? I love hunting through your site!!
Love these ideas. Are the mason jars wrapped with paper or ribbon? I’m throwning my friends shower in a couple of weeks and am going to try this.

Hi Mary -
The jars are wrapped with both paper AND ribbon ;) The wider band is scrapbook paper, and the middle is rick rack ribbon. Good luck with the shower! :)
