I have a very nice Vermont Castings Grill, but it was at the beach house for a couple years. I’ve never cleaned a grill before, and there is some rust (though it was covered), and what seems to be possible corrosion from the salty air. What are your grill cleaning recommendations?

My DH is allergic to seafood and I don’t eat meat, but we love to grill. We always cook my seafood on a separate grill to avoid allergy issues; do you think this is necessary or will the heat take care of it?
