I’m absolutely LOVING with this vibrant Modern Wedding Reception concept by Colin Cowie!

How brilliant are the centerpieces… carnation balls accented with colorful orchid blossoms. If you’re weren’t a fan of the inexpensive carnation before, these designs just might change your mind!

Here’s another great example of how stylish carnations can look – not to mention the clever use of sugar-dusted brownies in place of cupcakes for a fun twist on the typical dessert tower:

Wishing Trees are always a great way to add a thoughtful touch to weddings or occasion showers, but it’s the fabulous, bold design of the container holding this tree that really makes it stand out:

More of the mod containers filled with plants & branches make for fabulous decor on the beverage table, and the use of kumquat, orchid, and rosemary sprig-filled ice balls adds a cool pop of color to the drinks!

Great attention to presentation elevates the appetizers & cocktails to edible works of art…

And last but not least is a clever alternative to the help-yourself candy buffet: pre-filled favor bags displayed on top of loose candy. Cowie suggests having waiters tray-pass these at a wedding, but this would also be great just as a stand-alone display at smaller parties and wedding showers.
