I will be entertaining some lovely 3rd graders as I step in a room mom for their holiday party. I am really excited to make treats and fun projects with them.

oops I forgot to mention that I get all my great ideas from magazines like Real Simple, Martha Stewart, Southern Living and the numerous blogs I read! Not enough time to do all the things I’ve seen!

This Christmas I’ll be hosting our traditional Family Christmas Eve party. I’m still trying to come up with a craft for us all to do together. In the past we’ve made ornaments, decorated gingerbread houses, baked sugar cookies, and gone Christmas caroling (that one wasn’t so popular).

We normally hold a Happy Chrisma-Hanukwan-Zakah event, and this year, morphed it into a Progressive. That way, we can celebrate the season at different homes this year – so excited for Saturday!

My inspiration for Christmas entertaining is light! I love the look of a glass container full of white christmas lights. I am also a fan of anything that helps preserve traditions from my own childhood.

One of my best friends and I have an annual cookie making tradition where we spend a whole day baking and decorating around 200 sugar cookies for friends and family. They’ve all come to expect it, and it’s a great way for us to catch up! And there’s a little store called Papertown where we get a bunch of cute bakery boxes and raffia to tie everything up and make it pretty!
