Project Wedding ran a fantastic DIY Wedding Challenge recently and the level of creativity in the 160 entries is truly inspiring!
I was excited for the opportunity to be a guest judge for the contest – especially alongside these 4 fabulous women: Bee from Weddingbee, Grace from Design*Sponge, Mackenzie from Something Old, Something New, and Emily from Once Wed. The 5 of us each picked our favorite project (not an easy task, I might add!) to come up with the 5 Finalists – and now the final decision is up to all of you!
My finalist pick was the ultra-creative Message-in-a-Bottle Invitations project pictured above. Seriously… if the invitation is this good, just imagine how cool the celebration will be!

I voted for these invites. My wedding’s @ the beach but I’d probably use them for favors instead.
I just took a peek at all 5….
you pick is the best of them all.
Problem tho?!
How you gonna mail them? :)
I had a friend use that idea for her wedding on the beach. She had sticky labels for everyone’s address. The problem was not in mailing…it was in getting the sealed cork out. I had to use a corkscrew and needle nosed pliers. I ended up with sand all over the place. It was kind of annoying.
Excellent ideas and by far some of the nicest invites I have seen. My close friend is a wedding planner so I do know more than your average guy! LOL
These message in a bottle invitation are great..I really love your idea a lot…
