Hello, Chicago!

I’m so excited to be in Chicago today, getting ready for the Hip Hostess/Chambord event this Wednesday night at The Ivy Room! We had such a warm welcome from Chi-town that Chambord graciously offered to expand the event into 2 sessions – 6-8pm and 8-10pm – hooray! We hit capacity for both sessions, so the RSVP lists are closed online, but if you still want to come you can send an email to Courtney_Sandora@b-f.com and she will do her best to accommodate everyone as much as possible.

On a side note – any great restaurant recommendations we should try to hit for a fun dinner while we’re in the Windy City? I’m really hoping to make it to Japonais one night…but would love to get some input on other favorites too!

so many places so little time…i do want to recommend 2 places: cafe iberico for tapas …anything on the menu will be great and also – a little off the beaten track – is bombon for excellent mexican pastries. they have a few locations. the original is in the neighborhood of pilsen, but they also opened up two new locations, one in the west loop and one downtown. see you wednesday and bon appetit!
I would really love some suggestions on a few places to hold a fun and unique baby shower this summer. I’m looking for something in or around the western suburbs of Chicago, or perhaps the Naperville area. If anyone knows of an outdoor venue, please include those ideas as well…Thanks Much, Jennifer
Hi-
Not sure if Jennifer received any responses to her request for baby shower locations in Chicago. But I am desperately seeking the same thing. Ideally I’d like some place serving brunch, nice bright decor that can seat 50-60 people…any suggestions?
