SURPRISE GIVEAWAY: The Last Minute Party Girl + $100 Gift Card I’m really excited to share a great book by cooking & entertaining guru Erika Lenkert as part of our giveaway today! It’s called The Last-Minute Party Girl and is a fun, ultra-hip, how-to read that’s full of fabulous advice, witty anecdotes, and tons of great recipes. Here are just a couple of the of many rave reviews for The Last-Minute Party Girl :

"The Last-Minute Party Girl puts the FUN back into FUNctions. It’s a lively resource for those who like to entertain with style, but don’t have the time (not to mention the pocketbook) to turn a simple soiree into their raison d’etre for a month."
- Glynis Costin , Party Girl, Mother of Two, and West Coast Bureau Chief, In Style Magazine

"Erika Lenkert’s recipes for tossing fabulous parties are equal parts sexy, sweet, spicy, and sassy. With hilarious stories and an insider’s approach, The Last-Minute Party Girl is the ultimate handbook for hosting the perfect party."
- Peter Davis , Editor at Large, Paper Magazine

***

The book’s 10 chapters include things like Party Girl Etiquette, Vibe by Design (setting the scene), Painless Party Planning, A-List Appetizers, and The Party-Girl Pantry (survival supplies & shortcuts that will keep you stocked & prepared for even unexpected gatherings).

And speaking of supplies , you’re going to need something to help you stock up on some party girl must-haves of your own… so how does a $100 gift card to cb2 or Crate&Barrel sound?!

Summer is my favorite time of year for evening parties. We always re-use our white christmas lights at this time and the back yard looks so pretty!!

Oh dear, I LOVE cb2! Although I’d probably end up spending my winnings on my best friend who just moved into a new house. Or maybe on stuff for me to throw her a party :)

I would get myself a really nice collander. That probably sounds strange but I’ve wanted a larger one for a long time.

Instead of wedding presents, my fiancee and I are asking our guests to make a donation to charities of their choice. Therefore, I would use the gift set to replenish and update our dishware/barware.

Last-Minute Party Girl? That’s so me! I love throwing parties but somehow always skip the ‘planning’ part.

I would loove a gift card to Crate & Barrel. I moved recently and every single wine glass broke in transit–so I could really use a set of their “Otis” glasses. I also love their Tripoli server–perfect for parties! There are so many fantastic things to choose from!
