Asian Affair

Asian Affair Asian-inspired decor has always been a personal favorite, as well as the combination of bright orange and lime green, so you can probably see why I instantly fell in love with this modern Asian Affair party theme from Social Couture ! This type of look could really be used for any type of dinner party or special occasion, but I think it would be especially great for contemporary bridal showers, engagement parties, or rehearsal dinners.

Asian Affair At Social Couture, you can buy everything for this party theme (and others) in a pre-packaged set or order individual items a la carte. Added bonus : Social Couture offers hwtm readers 10% off everything with promo code " HWTM " at checkout! :)

Here are a few more items to help you round out this party theme: custom-printed Canna Bridal Shower invitations in persimmon…

Asian Affair …and coordinating party favor ideas and packaging: takeout boxes from Paper-Source in poppy and chartreuse ($4/set of 5); custom fortune cookies from Beaucoup; and personalized cherry blossom mint tins in lime green and tangerine.

Hi Anon-
I think they’re just called “Chinese Lantern branches”, but there might be a more technical name for them. If anyone knows – please share! But I bought some of these from a craft store and that’s how they were labeled…

Thanks Hiphostess,
Yes, I did some research too and they are called Chinese Lantern branches. Did you get yours at Michael’s?? I might have to take a peek :)

Hi Anon-
I actually got mine at Joann Fabrics. It doesn’t look like they carry them online – but they had them in-store when I went there!

Love the website- thank you Real Simple for sharing it!

The orange branches are called Chinese lanterns and can be purchased fresh or dried at your local farmer’s market or florist in the autumn!
