The Bridal Bar: Going GreenEverywhere you turn lately, the talk of the town seems to be all about “going green”. We’ve heard about daily habits to change – switching out lightbulbs, turning off water, carpooling, and recycling those soda cans – but the buck doesn’t stop with daily habits… there are also opportunities to be “earth friendly” at special events such as social gatherings and weddings!

Want to learn more about how to “think green” for your next event? Harmony Walton, founder of Southern California’s highly touted “Bridal Bar” boutique and contributing editor for Your Wedding Day bridal magazine – has written a special piece for HWTM with tips on how to do just that. From things to take into consideration when choosing event locations and times – to ideas for getting creative with your party décor, Harmony has some fantastic (and practical!) advice on how to party the “green” way. Click here to read the entire article.

The Bridal Bar: Going GreenA very special thanks to Harmony for putting together such a great piece! To learn more about the Harmony, The Bridal Bar, and the inspiration behind it, visit or click here to download an informational pdf.

Great article Harmony! It was nice meeting you at A Soolip Wedding a few months ago and I enjoy reading your blog over at BridalBar! Weddings can put a big drain on the environment, especially with the desire to become more and more extravagant. There are many ways brides and grooms can integrate eco-friendly ideas in their weddings without their guests even noticing. Some other ways they can also help society is to donate their flowers to a convalescent home or a homeless shelter after their ceremony and reception to brighten up someone less fortunate’s day. They can also arrange to have any left-over food donated too.
