On my way to Chicago’s first Green Fesitval this weekend as a volunteer and I amloving the new trend in sustainable consumerism. In fact, I am looking into applying for a green events planning company–

My first green hostess tip? Print your invitations on special handmade paper that has flower seeds in it. Set your table with personalized terrcotta pots as nameplates so your guests can plant their invitation!

And never shy away from homemade or vintage goods to add personality to your tablescapes. And try giving totebags as party favors–encouraging your guests to bring their own bag when they shop for ingredients for their favorite spinich dip.

Thats awesome! I’ve been working really hard to buy only green products for the last few months and have discovered so many amazing different companies. This month alone I’ve bought four different birthday gifts all from my local co-op, and they were all so well received!

Lets hear it for Earth-friendly products and gorgeous design!

I love Earth Day! We try to make a new eco friendly life change each year….one year we switched to cloth diapers, turned our termastat down (or up depending on the time of year) 3 degrees….and this year we are switching to line drying clothes.

Yeah for the lazy Susan!! So pretty!

This is so lovely! My fiance and I are trying to make our home eco-friendly as well. Our green tip is to try and eliminate anything disposable, like using rags instead of paper towels, and taking canvas bags with us when we go shopping.
