j+k…a very mod engagement party

My good friend Jen recently celebrated her engagement to very cool fiance Kevin – and I have to give her kudos on the amazing – and very modern! – job she did with the party decor…fantastic color palette of fuschia, lime & chocolate…easy & affordable, yet gorgeous centerpieces (simply wrap fabric ribbon in varying widths around clear glass vases – and fill with a monochromatic flower arrangement in a tight bunch)…and of course, lots of candelight to set the mood.

Here are some photos (thanks, Anasuya!) from the party that hopefully will inspire you for your next soiree!

Ceramic votive candle holders shown here available at IKEA for only 99¢ each! Mod circle hurricanes from Target (in-store), and Bamboo Tiki Torches available in-store at Party City for only $1.99/ea!

So pretty!! Love the circle mesh-like candle holders as well! Any idea where they came from?

those are actually from Target too! I couldn’t find them online – but I’ve seen them in-store a few times :)
